January 21, 2009 My Day At The Inauguration
I went to the inauguration… only I celebrated in Atlanta at Centennial Olympic Park, there was about 5000 people who celebrated this time and although we weren’t in Washington DC the crowd was just as electric. There was a time when the local radio station kept trying to talk and the crowd began to chant “C-N-N, C-N-N” in order for them to be quiet and turn on the sound of CNN on the jumbo screens around the park.
There was freezing temperatures and my wife and I spend a great deal of time huddled up but got to walk around and meet a bunch of people. We were close to the press box so we had our picture taken by many news stations and were interview by several news mediums. So shout out to Ric Mathis from rollingOut magazine; and Timothy Hale from Zuma Press. Here are some of the pictures from our time.
